NavStar Technologies in Field Test With New Hardware Technology Platforms

ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwire - May 23, 2011) - NavStar Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NVSR), a company focused on producing and commercializing products and services for tracking/monitoring and reporting on the location and condition of high value cargo and other assets, is pleased to announce the field trials of two new hardware technology hardware platforms.
NavStar has completed the prototype and is in field trial with two new technology platforms that will lower hardware cost, can be customized to meet the specific needs of customers and can be programmed to work anywhere in the world. With this hardware platform and their "state of the art" software platform already in place, the Company can direct its initial efforts on completing the field trials, manufacturing new hardware, penetrating the marketplace and creating hardware and services revenue.
"Several technology developments have occurred over the past several years that 'play into' the hardware platform improvements we have been working on for the past year. The most significant is the improvement in the sensitivity of the GPS receivers and their ability to acquire satellites more quickly and with less visibility to the sky," said N. Douglas Pritt, Chairman and CEO, NavStar Technologies, Inc. "Our new hardware platform is designed to service two markets. The product that is approximately the size of a deck of cards is designed for the vehicle, trailer, and other high value asset market segment. The product that is two thirds the size of a business card is designed to track and monitor people and pets. We are excited about 2011 and look forward to launching these new platforms."
With 20,000 units in service around the world, NavStar has already demonstrated the cross-market appeal and viability of its technologies. The Company now has devices "in the field" in South America, Mexico, Brazil and China.
